What to Expect
Make your first session
-
Our friendly reception team will be in touch with you soon, either by email or phone—whichever you prefer! We’ll help you book an intake session with one of our psychologists.

During your first session
-
During the intake / parent intake session, our psychologists will take the time to understand your experiences and challenges. They’ll also gather detailed information about your developmental history to ensure we provide the best possible support.
Therapy
-
Our psychologists are trained in a diverse range of approaches and specialties, including play therapy, art therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
-
We use different methodologies interchangeably to find the best suit for our clients and their backgrounds.

Your assessment proces
Our psychologists are dedicated to being mindful, respectful, and affirming throughout all interactions with our clients.
During the intake process, based on what your psychologist learns from the discussion, they may ask you to:
-
Complete a series of self-report or informant-report questionnaires.
-
Participate in a conversational, semi-structured interview that includes direct observation of the interaction between you and the psychologist.
-
Engage in a standardised diagnostic assessment.
-
Your psychologist will carefully score and review all assessments, then prepare a comprehensive report with personalized recommendations for you.
-
Afterward, they will meet with you—either in person or via telehealth—to discuss the findings from the report and assessment. This is also a valuable opportunity for you to ask any questions and gain clarity on the results.
