Bree Ong, Psychologist (Paediatric Team)

At Sprout Psychology, we are a tight-knit team of warm and passionate therapists who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families. By actively engaging with the community and adopting an open-minded and reflective approach to our interventions and assessments, we have gained a reputation as a Neurodiversity Affirmative Practice that excels in neurodivergence assessments.

We have a paediatric team of 2 child and clinical psychologists and 3 provisional psychologists. We are constantly seeking new team members to join us:

  • Child Psychologist (Registered)- with prior experiences to provide child-centred intervention and therapeutic support. A background in art therapy, play therapy, music therapy, and behavioural support will be beneficial. The ideal candidate will be required to complete autism, ADHD, and / or in learning assessments to the highest professional standards. Our director provides supervision to both internal and external psychologists, as well as provisional psychologists. She has a strong reputation in the field of autism assessments and works closely with clinicians to support them through the assessment reporting process.

 

We currently have 4 psychologists and 1 provisional psychologist overseeing our adolescent and adult team. As the demand for adult autism assessments has grown significantly in recent years due to increased awareness, self-understanding, and a desire for formal diagnoses, we are seeking to expand our team. Sprout Psychology is currently offering the following employed position:

  • Psychologist (Registered)We are currently seeking a clinician to provide adult assessments for autism. This will be an employed role with internal support from our director, who specializes in NDIS applications for autism and has experience with legal matters related to autistic individuals, such as the Victims of Crime and Workcover. Her therapeutic and gentle approach is designed to support clients' positive self-discovery, act as their advocate, and conduct differential diagnoses. The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong desire to develop a deep understanding of the holistic wellbeing of autistic individuals, including emotional regulation, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and occupational needs. Experience in therapy/counseling with adults is required.

Our office holds up-to-date and comprehensive test kits including:

  • ADOS-2

  • MIGDAS-2

  • WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WPPSI-IV

  • BASC-3, BRIEF-A, BRIEF-P, BRIEF-2, Vineland-3

  • SRS-2, SPM-2

  • LEITER-3 

We have an extensive library of books, fidget tools, games, and art materials (children, adolescents, and adults, including parents, love them).

Sprout Psychology Melbourne has moved to 369 Burwood Highway, Burwood, VIC 3125. Our new clinic has been professionally renovated by ICON Interiors, incorporating the latest acoustic control technology to create a tranquil and secure environment for both clients and clinicians. The design of our clinic is intended to set the mind at ease, providing a comfortable and calming atmosphere for all who enter.

Joining our team means working closely with our experienced director and team of psychologists. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other clinicians and receive support throughout the assessment and reporting process, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. If you have a background in art therapy, play therapy, music therapy, or behavioral support, we particularly encourage you to apply.

We are also expanding our adult team to meet the growing demand for adult autism assessments. Our experienced psychologists provide comprehensive assessments for autism in adults and applications for NDIS. If you are currently working in paediatrics and wish to transition to adult assessments, this role offers the support and opportunity you've been looking for.
