The Qualifications

​

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Psychology

  • APHRA registration, Working with Children Check, Professional Indemnity Insurance and Police Check

  • Medicare Provider Number (or be eligible to apply for one)

  • ADOS or MIGDAS trained is highly preferred

  • CHC/XBA trained in Specific Learning Disabilities

✅ Adaptability – Managing a Psychology Clinic requires fast reactions and adaptability in an ever-changing climate. Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and effectively manage challenges in a dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

✅ Operational Proficiency – Managing a diverse team require profound understanding of its operation, challenges and limitations. 
✅ Clear Communication – Whether it's aligning with the Director or coaching a new clinician, excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clinicians, clients, and external stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
✅ Financial Literacy – Understanding revenue, enormous operational cost break down, and KPIs, are not optional—it's essential. A suitable PM help lead the business, not just manage the day-to-day. They will have the ability to monitor key performance metrics and use data to inform business needs planning working with the Business Manager.
✅ Emotional Intelligence – From managing team morale to navigating client concerns, emotional awareness and empathy are superpowers in this field. The PM will be able to motivate and support staff, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.  
✅ Accountability & Follow-Through – Strong sense of accountability and a proven ability to set priorities, develop action plans, and achieve goals. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Great PMs don’t just talk about goals—they create action plans, set priorities, and hold themselves (and others) accountable.
✅ Leadership – Not just managing, but inspiring. Leading with vision, consistency, and kindness makes all the difference.

✅ Teamwork – Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.

✅ Employee Relations Skills: Proven ability to manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Qualifications

​

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, or a related field.

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field with substantial managerial experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably within a healthcare or psychology clinic setting.

  • Proficient in English, Mandarin, Cantonese.​
