COVID-19 Updates

Last updated on 22 April 2022

Sprout Psychology Melbourne has reverted to operate with open doors again. Appointments are available for face-to-face consultations with the option of telehealth. The health and safety of our clients and staff remains our top priority. We continue to follow strict safety measures and cleaning protocols. The policies and procedures below apply.

SAFETY MEASURES

All of our staff have received both doses of their vaccination for COVID-19.

In-line with the latest Victorian Government health advice as of 22nd April 2022, clients are no longer required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, nor provide evidence of a medical exemption to attend their appointments in person.

If you would like to continue having your sessions via Telehealth (Zoom or over the phone), you can organize it with your psychologist.

We are disinfecting surfaces between consultations and using disinfectant spray as well as alcohol wipes. Clients can make use of the hand sanitizer in the clinic. Using a facial mask is still recommended at all times.

QR codes are no longer required in any venue.

If you or your practitioner are feeling unwell with cold, flu or respiratory concerns, it is important NOT to attend the clinic. Please call us to reschedule your appointment OR have your appointment either online or over the phone.

COVID Positive Cases

If you or your practitioner is COVID-positive, you must isolate for seven days and notify workplace and social contacts. Please inform us as soon as possible with information on when you have last been at our rooms so that we can also implement safety measures.  If you have had COVID-19, you are now exempt from testing or quarantine for 12 weeks – up from 8 weeks.

Close Contacts of COVID-19 patients

You must still:

  • wear a mask indoors and avoid sensitive settings

  • undertake at least five negative rapid tests over the seven days that would previously have been the self-quarantine period.

  • It is recommended that you change to Telehealth instead.

The government has released medicare items specifically for COVID-19 that enable us to provide partially funded services delivered in persion, via phone or video link. An extra 10 sessions on top of the current 10 sessions offered is available to clients who are entitled to 20 sessions per year until 31 December 2022. You will receive the usual rebate for this service ($89.65-$131.65) provided you have a valid mental health care plan.
